Super delicious, fresh great salads, starter, main course very good quality and taste. Part of the restaurant has already been renovated, the seating is still quite old, but it still tastes good. Service very friendly and attentive. We'll be back for sure.

You get more than the rustic name suggests. Good down-to-earth cuisine with fresh ingredients - also regional. Interior has both a rustic and more cozy dining area. In addition, a nice little beer garden invites you to linger. Good food, friendly service and well implemented corona hygiene concept.

Good food, calm service on a beautiful terrace ... almost everything is said! The menu is small but interesting and varied (let's see how often it changes), the prices are reasonable and the food tasty and worth the money. The service is friendly and attentive, the terrace is spacious and has a beautiful view. The hygiene concept necessary due to Covid / Corona looks well thought out and consistent. It is quite possible that we will stop by again next week.

Hello ... were allowed to be guests at Dorfgasthof Schmitz for a week and we felt very comfortable despite the current restrictions, the family made it possible for us to have an unforgettable holiday with a good breakfast, a chat in between and culinary delicacies in the evening 👌 activities in the dreamlike landscape are an experience and we were not the last time at the Schmitz's ... very kind regards to the family

We come here regularly to eat or to meet friends. Even in spite of Corona, because everything is just right in the Schmitz village inn: -Price-performance -nice personel - excellent food - great ambience - and and and ...... 😊 Just arrive and feel good.

I can only recommend, corona guidelines are followed, great breakfast and delicious dinner. I can highly recommend the burger with the goat cheese, a PLEASURE 👍

The name is deceptive, less a village inn than designed for outsiders. The staff was nice but overwhelmed, but the food was good, but you should also expect the prices.

Very good hamburger eaten, meat roasted top, great burger bun and super sweet potato fries, come back.

During our weekend in Schalkenmehren with 4 people we went twice for dinner in the Dorfgasthaus Schmitz (beer garden). Despite restrictions from the Corona crisis, the staff was really friendly, courteous and always in a good mood. Food: small selection, but fine things that tasted very good and freshly prepared came to our table. Full marks, we would love to come back.

What a gem in one of the villages in the Eifel. Delicious food, every dish is made into a party, both in appearance and in taste. Highly recommended, because apart from the delicious food you will find very friendly service and a cozy, German, village atmosphere!
